Assessment

I provide psychological assessments for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Veteran’s Affairs applications for RCMP and Military

  • Pre-employment screens for policing and related fields

  • Psychological diagnosis for personal interest or treatment planning

  • Disability or injury claim applications and appeals

Assessment involves an interview where I get to know you and your situation, and may include additional testing as needed. Before we book an assessment we can set up a brief consultation so that we can tailor the assessment to your specific needs.

Individual Treatment

Please note that in order to provide quality care for my current clients, I am not able to accept new therapy clients at this time.

My treatment practice is largely focused on police, other first responders, and medical professionals who have experienced work-related PTSD. I have significant experience supporting clients in returning to work after a work-related traumatic event.

I primarily work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also drawing from emotion-focused, acceptance and commitment, and solution-focused therapies. I provide Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

Training and Seminars

I am able to provide training workshops and seminars. I have experience giving talks to an array of audiences, from clinical psychology graduate students to senior police officers in special units. Topics I have spoken on recently include:

  • Managing mental health while working in internet child exploitation investigations

  • Treatments available for PTSD

  • Returning to work after a mental health injury

  • Effectively training clinical psychology students in exposure therapy

Please reach out if you are interested in arranging a talk or workshop for any audience and we can discuss possibilities!

Consultation & Supervision

I am available to provide professional consultation to registered psychologists in Saskatchewan. The format of consultation can be easily tailored to meet your needs - from single-session consultation to discuss a specific issue, to more regular meetings to dive deep into a case or a topic.

On a limited basis, I am available to act as a secondary supervisor of graduate students of accredited clinical psychology programs, and provisionally registered psychologists in Saskatchewan. If you are interested in specific experience with trauma assessment and treatment, please get in touch and we can discuss whether I would be a helpful addition to your supervision plan.

My supervision/consultation rate is $235 per hour.
